St. Michael's has a vibrant outreach ministry. We've touched peoples lives locally and around the globe.   

Ministry Mission Statement: to encourage members of the St. Michael’s parish to express their Christ-ness through various outreach projects; thus extending the hand of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

2010 OUTREACH MINISTRY PROJECTS

1st Sunday of the Month Is Outreach Sunday.

Contribution envelopes to assist in funding our Outreach ministry are placed in the First Sunday of each month’s bulletin.  Envelopes are also available any time in the Narthex for your monetary contributions.

CAPITAL CITY RESCUE MISSION

Leaders: Cindy and John Harmon

Four to six volunteers gather to assist in serving a meal at the Capital City Rescue Mission. Depart from church at 3:45pm.

This ongoing collection basket is for donations of personal or trial size personal hygiene goods such as disposable razors, soap, shampoo, etc... Donations will be brought to the Capital City Rescue Mission.

Blue Basket In the Narthex

“Families Together Food Pantry”

Please place your non-perishable food donations in the blue basket in the Narthex. Food will be donated to Families Together located here in Colonie, which support local families. Monetary contributions are also welcome.

EASTER Leaders: Annette Peer and              Sue Plaske

Adopt a single parent family from Families Together. Prepare three baskets for two boys and one girl.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES Leaders: Brandon Seney and Mary Pasko                                   

Starts: May 23 and Ends: August 29, 2010

Forest Park Elementary and Roessleville Elementary in the South Colonie School District.

Supplies for children from families that are economically challenged.                                          

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY TENT-A-THON BARBEQUE Leader: Candy Palumbo

Sponsor a barbeque dinner for campers on

MICHAEL and CHRISTINE HALE MINISTRY

On even months of the 2010 year, a check for $50.00 will be sent to the Hales for their ministry to bring Jesus into the hearts of Muslims living in England.
